N’Terlude Exemplifies Thomasian Nurses’ Talents
By Michelle Parreñas
The entire Thomasian Nursing community was all fired up as N’Terlude: Toxicity at its Best, hit the stage at the Medicine Auditorium last November 19, 2010.
With hosts April Dawn Lorzano and Joseph Bryan Gaerlan, the college week variety show started with a different roll call as the students per batch were all requested to stand up and dance to the beat of the music.
The event was then filled with different productions, showcasing the talents of the faculty, administrators, staff and students. Song numbers were performed by Ms. Sundee Pearl O. Arroco and organizations such as Pax Romana, Nursing Association of Student Achievers (NASA), Nursing Chorale, Nursing Comelec, Nursing Journal (NJ), Rotaract, Medical Missions Inc. (MMI) and the Nursing Central Board of Students (NCBS) officers. On the other hand, dance numbers were performed by the Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) and the Nursing Dance Troupe (NDT). With poise and confidence, the following groups composed of the faculty danced their bodies to the rhythm of different musical genres: the Junior faculty members, Fabulous ’05, The Lady Gaga Group and the Glam and Fab Supernatural Sciences. A short skit was also performed by the NCBS staffers followed by the “earth-shattering and ground breaking” performance, as the hosts beamed about it, of the whole nursing administration headed by Dean Glenda A. Vargas, Rev. Fr. Julius Paul C. Factora and Asst. Dean Susan N. Maravilla.
After almost four hours of non-stop entertainment, Dean Vargas officially ended the celebration with her closing remarks.
