UST Nursing Students Embark on the Amazing Race

Thomasian Nursing students battled it out in this year’s Amazing Race FIRE: Forming Individuals Rising in Excellence, held by the Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) during the Nursing Week celebration last November 18.

Teams vying for the top spot were composed of four members from various year levels. The Amazing Race tested the teams’ unity, analytical and critical thinking, responsibility, and assertiveness in handling situations. They were tasked to find the riddles hidden around the University of Santo Tomas campus in as little time as possible and solve the challenges quickly in each round to get through to the next round.

Jonas Versoza, Pamela de Ramos, Joseph Vinluan, and Fritzie Villegas of Team Borboli finished first among the pool of competitors. Following them are runners-up Ma. Aristhea Resureccion, Kriska Raymundo, Edsel Resterio and Rowell Ramirez of Team Aris' Angels. The third placers were Kevin Michael Yu, Ariane Yangco, Patricia Yapchiongco, Charmaigne Zulueta of Team Chewables.

The Amazing Race has been an annual project of the RCYC-Nursing Youth Council during the celebration of the Nursing Week.
